Ingredients:
- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts
- Salt and pepper to taste
- 1/4 cup all-purpose flour
- 1/2 teaspoon paprika
- 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
- 2 eggs, beaten
- Vegetable oil, for frying
- 4 hamburger buns
- Lettuce leaves
- Sliced tomatoes
- Sliced onions
- Mayonnaise
- Mustard
- Pickles (optional)
Instructions:
1. Season the chicken breasts with salt and pepper on both sides.
2. In a shallow dish, combine the flour, paprika, and garlic powder.
3. Dip each chicken breast into the beaten eggs, then coat it with the flour mixture, shaking off any excess.
4. Heat vegetable oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
5. Fry the chicken breasts for about 4-5 minutes on each side until golden brown and cooked through. Transfer to a paper towel-lined plate to drain excess oil.
6. Toast the hamburger buns in a toaster or under the broiler until lightly browned.
7. Spread mayonnaise and mustard on the bottom half of each bun, then layer with lettuce leaves, sliced tomatoes, onions, and pickles if desired.
8. Place a fried chicken breast on top of the toppings and cover with the other half of the bun.
9. Serve the chicken sandwiches immediately and enjoy!
